Steering Oddities

Post by Stadawim »

Okay, these are weird and i haven't been able to track them down here. I hope they're only odd to me.

One is this hesitation the car has while accelerating during left turns. At any speed and any degree of turn. It's really mild, doesn't seem to be preventing acceleration but is noticeable. It has an extremely slight vibration associated with it, as well as what could be described as a very low rumble. Almost not even there. It's practically not worth mentioning, just that when you can turn one way and get different results from turning the other way you tend to be a little concerned. CV joint maybe? Tie rod? I replaced the stab/swaybar up front after i found it was broken(!) as well as a couple of bushings. That was a couple of years ago, but visually that all looks fine.

The other is a question i probably don't even need to ask. I know it must be the blower motor, but my question i guess is why. Whenever the car is turned to the right while the air is on (heat), there's a 'cricket chirping' coming from the pass dash. Not during left turns, not with the a/c on, but that specific time. :dontknow: Blower motor judging by location and event. But again, anyone have an idea why? I'd like to say it's going bad, but why is the noise not present at all times of use and drive? Does it get loose or something?
