Lights out!! **Solved**

Post by Sacaledus »

So the fuse for my lights keeps blowing. Courtesy lights, Dash lights, no tail lights but Brake lights work. Blinkers work when turned on, reverse lights up. Need to know where to start folks! :helpsmilie:

I don't recall where the cigarette lighter is on these year cars or if they have ashtrays, but if they do, make sure a coin or some other metal didn't fall down in the socket. It will cause the issue you are having.

they have ashtrays and lighter in the very front of the center console, but i dont think these years have the lighter tied into the lights fuse. I would have to say to remove your tailights and check if the housings have bad seals wich leak water int the lights, and corrode the sockets, mine did that. most likely with the tailights, but mine didnt blow a fuse though. Although its a definate possibility.

Have a leaky tail light housing that had rusted the connectors in the bulb socket. cleared out the water drilled a weep hole and replaced the socket and she's just fine!

Excellent. Now please edit the title of this post with "solved" at the end so others searching in the future will have an easier time.
