The Bonneville died yet again on my wife and I have no *dang* clue why. I have a feeling that it will start and run good enough for her to make it back to St.Cloud. Is there any club guys that are near North Hennepin Community College that can go try to start it after it has cooled down. I have a truck and I am ready to go get it. I am trying to avoid it though. Car is at the Burger King near the school and Mills Fleet Farm. PM me if you can. I could really use the help. The keys are hidden on the car. Thanks.

I'm not close to MN at all, but maybe we can start troubleshooting some ideas for anyone that can go check it out?

If it's just randomly dying on her, some things that come to mind are MAF, crank sensor, and ICM. What exactly are the symptoms she's having?

Just won't start. Cranks but does not turn over. I am an hour away getting ready to head down with tools and a scan gauge.

Obviously check for fuel and spark. Cranking with no fire though makes me think crank sensor.

Check your PCV valve! That made my car keep cranking when it was clogged. But I also think it could be a CPS

Thanks for the offer to help guys!!! I got a couple of PM's and on the thread. I put this up because I could not track down a dolly.

Brooklyn Park is not that bad of an area in my opinion but it is a fact that the car would have been towed to impound just for sitting over night. Two impounded overnight vehicles that were parked right near were it was at were found to have some interesting cargo and is going to result in a couple of life without parole sentences. That occurred within the last six months so... yeah had to try and get the car home. I could not find a place with the combination of a dolly or still open. Found out a friend has one and got it home.

Car started when I picked it up and seemed fine. I have some lights on the dash but I think it is still only the gas cap code. Thinking it is the TPS or CPS as I have brand new MAF, PCV, clean intake & TB along with replacement of another couple of sensors. Brand new OE fuel pump, fuel filter is fresh. Coils and ICM are new as well.

I can say the car is no longer going out of town. This is the second time in 3 months I have had to tow it home.

Oh yeah, found out a buddy of mine that lives half way(wife goes to school an hour away) owns a dolly. Picked up from class and loaded up the car. I have a couple of threads that I have bookmarked because I have been waiting for it to happen.

I live like a mile from there. Too bad it's not there anymore. I have a DHP tuner that I could run scans on it and see if you have a failing sensor. If you're ever in the Maple Grove/Osseo area with it I wouldn't mind taking a look at it.

That would be cool. I live in St. Cloud and I got the car home last night. Not sure if that is too far for you.

My personal experience is that a new part can be defective also. I've had new ICM & coil pack fail within 30 days after installation. Just a thought. I can tell you, it really messed with my mind when running trouble only to find out it was a new part. Hope you isolate and resolve your problem.
