World's Best GXP?

Well...its finally done. 18 months ago I found this beauty while working in Ohio. At first this was going to be a daily driver, but the more I drove it and learned about these cars I knew these are rare finds and decided to make it a show car. A new job in Florida allowed me to return to my home full time and the means to make this into, what I feel, may be the world's best GXP...I'll let you decide.

I got a lot of great advice and help on this forum and to those that pitched in with help...many thanks!

Items fixed:

New AC
New cooler lines
Complete new exhaust (GM recall)
Went through car from bumper to bumper ....any paint defect fixed. Paint is 100% perfect.
New heated seat switches
Radiator Flush
Trans Flush

Mods/Upgrades:

Autosports Rotors
EBC Red Stuff Pads
New Calipers
KN Filter
New Trunk Mat
New Floor Mats
Tinted Headlights
Tinted Fog light covers

Maybe one of the best BONNEVILLE GXPs. If left unspecified my car enters the mix, and others like it. Like the twin Turbo G8 GXP on G8 board. Which pushes me over obviously. But that is a nice looking Bonneville for sure.

Looks great!

That Pontiac badge in front sticks out like a sore thumb now, maybe some tint spray or film over that just to dull it down some.

Car does look very nice.

Something up front doesn't look right with the fogs off, I feel like the car needs that contrast to make it flow right. JMHO.

I wish mine had looked anywhere half as good as this one. I keep saying I'll never, EVER, buy another black car, then what do I do... :D

Like the tire choice too...

Yeah. Love black when its clean. In florida white is the way to go for a daily driver with the heat and all. Now the question is....do I trade this in when the Grand National and GNx come out? Spoke to the Buick dealer and they are coming. GNx will be a twin turbo 3.6 v6 making 420 hp.

Not for a Grand National. Anything more or less would be the wrong cylinder count.

As for them actually coming out, I certainly wouldn't rely on a dealership to get that info from, for the most part they are clueless. There have been rumors in several magazines but last I knew nothing actually confirmed.

Its coming. Based on the ATS platform. Was over in England last week and one of their csr shows had spy pics. Two words....bad ass. Dealer said expect an announcement late this year. He has my number so I can drop a deposit on a GNx. :-)

If I ever find the time to get mine operating 100%, I'll gladly compete for that title ;)

I welcome the challenge. Raising the bar is always a good thing!

I'll still believe it when I see it.

There was some "Spy shots" that went around a while back, proved to be photoshopped... http://www.pontiacbonnevilleclub.com/fo ... 36443.html

That said though, if they do bring it back, it certainly would be something to snag up if you can afford it!

I was gonna say, all the pictures seen were photoshopped ATS's. However, if and when an ATS-V comes about, a Buick version wouldn't be unreasonable.

GM needs to get the price point right on this thing if it is to be successful. A friend who has owned about 13 GN's and a couple TTA's wants one, but has flat out said if it's $45k - $50k, he isn't interested. He just can't justify spending that kind of coin.

Dealer here, Dick Norris said expect 60k for the GNx. I guess much of it depends on engine. The hang up is the Gnx engine. They cant decide on the 3.6 twin turbo or droping the new v8 in it. Personally I prefer the v6 sticking to tradition.

It actually hurts to look at it, since it looks so good.
