Some great posts about headlamp restoration but I am curious. Do the various aftermarket headlamps have the same quality and appearance of the factory versions and do the drivers sides lamps have the Bonneville script detailed in the lens like the originals have? Any answers would be much appreciated. Thanks

The ones I've seen do not as "Bonneville" is trademarked IIRC.

It's hit and miss at best. Aftermarket lamps (and I'm talking almost any assembly for any make and model) lack sufficient UV protection for anything over a year. If you must go new, gently scuff the surface and use the 50/50 mineral spirits/Helmsman nautical clear urethane mix to recoat, but then again you can do the same thing and get the same results from a used set.

Ive had two sets and the cuality is poor. my next set will be from GM. not only do they get ugly really fast, but the internal parts of the light is so weak that when I was setting the beam angle, they broke and now one of my lights point higher than the other & I cant move them.
