Service stabilty system

Latley when I hit a bump this comes up and my traction control goes off along with my abs. when sitting in the lane way its been doing that now and I poped the little housing around the traction control button and messed with the wire a bit and it went away until the next start up, sorry for all my questions Iam new to these cars since trading my truck for one (car is a 2000 ssei btw) thanks guys!

You could also check the wires from the abs sensors in the front wheel bearings. Since hitting a bump will jostle those wires, make sure you don't have any broken/pinched wires.

does your abs activate when you hit the bumps? mine would and i would fee the stability system react... my case it was a bad Yaw sensor. does it happen when the front hits or the rear?.. the button would only turn off the trac control and would not trigger a ABS light. but you could remove the trim and check the connections and wires to see if there is a short.
things to check
* Brake fluid level
* Wheel speed sensor connections
* Clean the front wheel speed sensors, should be able to spray brake cleaner on them to clean them. (fronts are seporate but the rears are buil into hubs IIRC)
* ABS codes (will tell you what wheel is triggering the fault) -Requires a scan tool for the ABS
