Is it just me?

Or are Bonnevilles getting harder and harder to find? I've been trying to look (kinda sorta, I know I can't afford one until I can get my loan down to 4500) for an SSEi around town (town being Columbus) and I can't find ANY! And the ones I do find are being picked up the day they're advertised. I don't know if it that means the car's popularity is increasing or they're going to junkyards... Seriously, is anyone else having this problem? I remember when I bought my SSEi, I looked at three others in the Newark area alone...

Nope, not just you...they're thinning out for sure.

I suppose it was to happen eventually, but considering how abundant they were and the length of their production, I'm not surprised that I see several nearly every day.
I believe that we'll see a more significant drop off as fuel becomes more expensive and folks will not opt to pour as much money into maintaining or repairing something that is as large, heavy, and in my case, drinks premium.

I plan on keeping mine till I can't by fuel for it or can't find parts. I intend on giving this car to my first grandchild after I die of course. I wonder what she will be worth in 2046?

Remember they only made about 5000 or fewer SSEi's from 92-03. Every day another one or two go to the wrecker for one reason or another.

Yes, perhaps this is pointing out the obvious, but statistically, since they are discontinued, there will always be fewer and fewer, since the existing supply will decrease due to collisions and mechanical or structural failures. There will never be more and more, there will always be fewer and fewer. That said, Peter, check out the Kings Auto Mall south of you. You can keep an eye on their used car stock on their website. I just checked and they have no Bonnevilles, but a nice stock of 23 Grand Prixs at the moment. When my brother moved from New York to Westerville, he had to buy a car, and he almost bought a mint condition gold 2000 SSEi from Kings. There are a lot of Bonneville owning clubmembers in Ohio, so statistically I think that says good things about availability there, although you'll have to contend with road salt and rust on used-market cars.
Good luck!

Don't feel to bad. Bonnevilles are a tough find around here as well. W-bodies are/were produced in the east end of Toronto in a town called Oshawa, so Regals, GP's, Allure (LaCrosse) are plentiful.
Can't really find a decent Bonnie anywhere. When I bought my GTP, I really wanted a GXP, but of course, not 1 to be found in the province...unreal.

I've only seen about 2 SSEi's around here. All high mileage and worn out.
Thats why I'm restoring mine. (dam the cost!)

There is not one 00+ SSEi in ANY salvage yard in my state....hundreds of regular bonnevilles.
99% of the bonnevilles here are base models. Base as they get. SSEis are hard to find.

Bonnevilles are all over the place in MN

. Most are probably owned by old-timers that don't drive them much too.

Same for the Detroit Metro area. They're a dime a dozen.

Since they were assembled in Lake Orion and considering the 3800 is manufactured in Flint, it's VERY easy to spot L67 Bonnevilles.
