What kind of stereos is possible to put into a 96 Bonneville SE? I have the CD with the equalizer but i wanted to know if its possible to put a modern stereo, possibly one with a screen?

Double din flat screen will work better for the bonnie than a flip out screen. A single din flip out is what i have for.that you have to have the bracket with the stereo slid all the way out so the screen clears the climate controls.

I'm pretty sure you'd have to modify the dash to make a double din work in a 92-99 as I believe they are 1.5 din.

Pretty much any aftermarket will do. If you are at least moderately mechanically inclined you should have no problems. The dash kit and wiring harness will have instructions in them and someone from the store where you buy everything should be able to help you pick out what you need. The 92-99 are actually pretty straight forward installs. But of course we are here if you have questions along the way.

Installing an aftermarket stereo in a 92-99 Bonneville is pretty easy, there's no major roadblocks.
The post that said the radio opening is 1.5 DIN is correct. You can't fit a double DIN in there.
Generally speaking, if you want a screen, you should be looking at single-DIN units with a flip-out screen.
As mentioned already, wiring harness adapters are *READILY AVAILABLE* and *INEXPENSIVE*. USE ONE. Do NOT chop off the factory wiring harness connector, as everyone who has done that had a difficult time working out which wires went to what. So don't to that.
For installing a single-DIN aftermarket unit you'll need a mounting kit. There are several available, but I'm a big fan of the Metra one I used. I'll look up the Metra part number and edit this post when I locate it. Again, these are not expensive.
You also might need an antenna adapter for the radio. I can't remember if I needed one or not.

For some time Pioneer and Jensen made 1.5-Din aftermarket stereos, but I can't recommend them. I had the top-of-the-line Pioneer, but they didn't update it when newer single-DIN units were getting support for iPods and USB storage devices. I ultimately upgraded to a better-equipped single-DIN unit.

I'm pretty sure you'll need an antenna adapter, I used one in my 93 and my 97 and I would think all aftermarket decks would have the same antenna jack on them, again, the antenna adapter is cheap.
