Well I guess this is the end...

As much as I hate to say it I will soon be parting ways with the Bonneville. I bought a new used car at the beginning of the month and unfortunately don't have the funds to keep both cars around. It sucks to sell my first car with all the memories, good and bad, and has never left me completely stranded. It was a very reliable car, but with it being 15 years old and nearing 200,000 miles I never know what could decide to go wrong and when. I can only hope my new car will treat me as well.

As far as the new car, I bought a 2008 Aura XE. Black exterior with gray cloth interior. Only has the steel wheels but has nice looking chrome hubcaps. Has a few options: heated seats, leather steering wheel and shifter, sunroof, steering wheel controls, auto dimming mirrors. Only has the 4spd trans, wish it had the 6spd like my Dads but not a deal breaker. I paid 10,600 for it + tax, titles, and all those other wonderful fees. Got it from a GM dealer though as certified so it has a 1 yr 12k bumper to bumper warranty, the powertrain warranty is up in a few months. Not a fast car or anything, but should be pretty reliable and also gets decent MPG. Hopefully by the time I'm ready for a new car I will have the funds to get a REAL car Image

Still have the Bonneville right now. Need to clean it up this week and I will probably be selling it next week. I'll post some more pictures of the new ride once I get it cleaned up nice and of course of the Bonneville before her departure :???:

A shame the Bonneville is going, but I love the Aura! I drove one of those when they were new and thought it was a nice car to drive - refined, handled well, and had enough performance considering I drove the base model.

What a shame man. That car is good looking. As far as reliability goes, I wouldn't have thought anything of 200k miles. My old 95 was at 300k before we parted ways and my 97 now has 266800. My lowest mileage bonneville I ever owned has 198k on it, and im gonna be restoring that.

I just put $800 of tires on my 163k mile car, and they'll probably last me 3 or 4 summers...

Cars go forever if rust isn't a big problem and you keep up with maintenance..
