Image
hood after last bit of prime and sanding aswell

Image
closer look

Image
passenger side all masked up and ready for color! almost there!!

Image
underside of the hood ready for color!

Image
top of the hood ready for color

Image
and the main part all ready for action

Image
passenger side after color! looks sooo beautiful in person! (no clear coat yet. it is on it now, just didnt take any pictures of
it. tomorrow i will when it gets out of the booth and i start putting it all back together)

Image
forgot about the actuall gas door. painted that so it would blend with the rest. all i did was scuff the clear off, scuffed the edges and colored it over top of old color. not too big of a deal. turned out fine

Image
the hood midway through color (took alot of paint... im stil learning the methods of Painting efficiency.. that part definitely kicked my ass..)

Image
drivers side midway through color, still needed one more thicker coat. but shes staring to come togeher!

Image
drivers side finally finished and done with everything. (will get pictures of clearcoat of the hood and other side tomorrow,
this is the only pictures i had time to take with the CC on because time was of the essance)

Image
Image

and about the latch, when i get home im going to take that back off, sandblast it and paint it black... or just go to feezels and buy another one that isnt poopy..

Image

dont worry, i scrubbed the crap out of the wheels, and buffed the heck out of the bumpers and doors and the rest of the car, i still need to get pictures of the car outside tomorrow when i bring it home, but *dang* does she look amazing now!!

Thanks everyone! first time ive ever done bodywork myself, Did it all myself with the help of some very handy friends. Would be a 1500-2000$ shop job, did it for 169.85$.. Talk about one hell of a deal

That's amazing. Truly awesome work. And for an amazing price. My car needs the same exact work done.

Realistically, I worked on it two hours a day, tops. Monday - Friday, so probably spent a total 30 hours on it. So about 4-5 shop days. Which isn't bad for a body amateur right?! And do the work yourself man! You'll be so much happier! All you need is the right sandpaper, some all-metal (what i used for the mudding) hardener, dura-glass for inside wheel well, rust proofing for inside trunk around gascap, and prime and paint! I used professional PPG paint which was basically all my price, (color prime and clear coat) but it's for sure way worth it!!
