2002 regal stumbling/bogging

My wifes Regal is bogging down when you press on the accelerator pedal, if you back off some it will gradually pick up speed but if you floor it falls flat on its face. My neighbor hooked up the fuel pressure gage, that had a bleed off valve, the pressure was good but he said it would not fill up the container fast enough so he said the volume was not enough. Not sure I believe that, well anyways I changed the fuel filter and its the same. The low coolant light haz been on but radiator is full so I think it need to be cleaned, any chance that could have an effect on the way it runs? I am going to look at the screen on the throttle body too. I am hoping its not the cat. Any other thought?

Assuming it isn't throwing any SES codes? That would be my start. Could be anything from a miss to a cat to a MAF sensor or something. Hard to say for sure if there is no code. (Without seeing the car that is)

No codes, feels like its starving for gas or something constricting. Thank you sir

Well, cleaned up the low coolant sensor which shut off the dash light. Now I can take the 48 dollar one back to Autozone. I don't have a thing to clean the mass air flow sensor, but I doubt that is the problem. Too old to lay under the car and too cold also. I need a bigger garage and a lift.

If I was closer to Morris I'd come check it out. Sorry I can't help more at the moment.

Thanks for the offer, I checked furl pressure myself and it showed 46# running and around the same when I turned the key to on but dropped to 42#, seems a little weak. When I disconnected the vacuum hose going to the fuel pressure regulator the pressure went to 60# so I plugged the line and took it for a ride, same thing. If it were the cat, wouldn't it smell hot? Beginning to think the intake manifold is leaking vacuum.

Not a bad deal. Glad to hear it's fixed.
