coolant leak inside the dash ?

coolant leak inside the dash ?

05 Bonneville SE with 150k miles. hear sloushing sound inside of dash, smell coolant, and coolant reservoir is low. No moisture noted, yet, inside. Heater core ?

If the heater core is to blame, it will be immediately obvious when you turn the heater on at temperature (steam and unquestionable odor). Otherwise, it may be leaking from somewhere else and the fumes are getting sucked in.

problem turned out to be the plastic elbows located on the engine. fixed the problem but I still don't know what really caused the "sloshing sound"

Sloshing sound is usually aeration from the failure allowing coolant back in. Once you get the air purged, it should stop
