Accident today CRAP!

Post by 2002FO »

Yeah, I was sitting at a red light. Light turns green and I start to go.... Guy behind me apparently didn't know I was there because he plows into me and my bumper is now 2 feet closer to the front of the car.

Wife and I were both transported to the hospital and fortunately other than soreness, we are ok.

I WAS 400 MILES SHORT OF 200,000 ON THE ODOMETER!!!!!

I just can't believe the crap that happens....

Oh well... Perhaps I can find a GXP now....

I'll get pictures tomorrow...

That sucks, but it's good that both of you are okay. That's some of my biggest fears - watching someone come up in my rear view that appears to not be slowing down, and intersections (especially 4-way stops) where the other driver to your left or right does not appear to be stopping when you're in the middle of the intersection.

I experience that almost everyday, and it makes me cringe. Once you get everything sorted out, good luck on your next search.

Wow, I don't think I've ever seen a car crunch like that! Glad to hear everyone was ok, though! Another Bonnie sacrificing itself for it's occupants...

Definitely Sacrificed itself =/ but that's the heart of a good old American made Bonnie. I feel bad looking at it cause it know it can happen to anyone.

Thanks to all the well wishers. I have to see what happens with other drivers insurance this week.... I'm sure they'll try to low ball me.

Wow, that's really horrible! I'm sorry to hear you got so close to your milestone!

I remember being hit from behind this past spring in my friend's car. Luckily the car was built for the impact, but it really messed me up. My back and neck haven't been the same since. The impact even twisted the drivers seat back.

Just a wonderful lady checkin' out her GPS while driving. Yeah...its a scary feeling when you see what's about to hit you...and then it actually happening.

Always sad to see a good car meet an untimely end, sorry to hear about this, but the main thing is that you're not hurt.

Was it an SUV that hit you? The impact point looks quite high up.

PS I spy another Bonneville in the second photo!

It was actually a 01 or 02 Cavalier that hit me. But as fast as he was going, I'm not surprised at the damage..

I'm still super sore, even this morning... My wife is having a hard time moving because of the soreness in her back....

If you and your Wife's pains don't subside after while i would consider taking the guy to court if you haven't already,
People often take being hit from behind lightly but it's a real serious matter i would get examined by another physician make sure there is no long term Nerve or body structure damage all at the expense of the person who hit you of course.
