Will a 15" wheel fit on a 98 SSEi and clear the caliper etc?

I believe so. I have a feeling it's going to be very tight though. I remember Wren saying his 15" wheels for his slicks were very snug over the calipers of his 93, and I don't believe the brakes changed...

There were 15" wheels stock {with the plastic hub caps) on some of the base SE models during the years 92-99. I agree that the brakes didn't change, so I think they should fit.

On my 99 SE, factory 15" wheels from a 95 GP would not clear the calipers, but worked OK on the back

It depends on the offset and the design of the inside of the rim. 16" 88-91 SSE aerolites wouldn't even clear my 95 SSEi's calipers if I had new brake pads installed.

I'm thinking about rolling old school, some smoothies with baby moons and fat white walls.... It'd be something different. I have been looking at wheel vintiques smoothies, only thing is I would have to use a wheel adapter from 5x115 to a basic 5x4.5.... Dunno if I want that pressure on my hubs.
