I know I've seen posts on shimmy issues at 65 mph, but I've picked up a rear end vibration after putting on a set of brand new Goodyer Eagle GT's and also a 4 wheel alignment. All bearings are fine as well. Could the rear wheels be out of balance? It only occurs around 60-65 mph.

I got this to, and have found 1 Remedy that smooths it out nicely....

By Speeding up to 75, it goes away. It works every time just not to sure how the police are gonna feel about my reason to fix my Vibration or if they'd even believe me... LOL!

Took the car to ther tire shop and rebalanced everything. Before I left the mechanic noticed that my aftermarket rims needed hubcentric rings. He said he was positive my vibration problem was due to that. It still vibrated around 60mph on the way home. ???

All my tires are balanced and I have a vibration from about 60-70 then again around 120-130.

00+ Bonnies like to vibrate at highway speeds. It's a common issue with them. Some have it, some don't. I'm fortunate mine doesn't.

Who knows? Maybe it'll show up one day. I don't imagine they had the vibration new did they? I'm too young to know.

There was a guy on here who said he'd had it since almost new. I'm surprised he'd kept the car nearly that long....

When you love something or someone you learn to live with its faults. In this case, the Bonnevilles vibration at highway speed. At least its something that is sorted easily by simply driving a little bit faster to smooth it out and make it tolerable.

I've seen lots of posts about this issue and there were even issues on an N-Body site I was a member of when i had my Grand Am's regarding this. My 93 GT and my 00 GT Grand Am's used to both vibrate similarly to the Bonneville at the same speeds and it was much the same resolution after the main issues were addressed (Tire Balance, wheel weights, tire scalloping, alignments, Ect).

The Vibrations just something that goes along with owning the car. On my way home from the sales lot, I got it on the highway and it was like being back in my GAGT again. Once I realized that speeding up a little bit sorted it out, I just wrote it off and sped up to smooth it out.

Hopefully you find a resolution to your issue, but its most likely just something that's gonna go along with owning the car man....

This is a better place to start. Whast rims are the? What are the log spacing? What is the hub hole diameter?

Had the wheels road forced balanced today. Some weight had to be added to the rear wheels. The diagnostic said that the wheels were pretty close to perfect but slightly off. Took the car out on the highway and it's about 75 percent better. Just a slight vibration shows up around 65-70 then disappears. The tech at the dealer said it was not uncommon to have it done more than once on aftermarket wheels. If I wasn't satifisfied with the results they'll give it another shot at no charge.
