power steering

Power steering pump wines, The fluid level is good with no leak, no stiff turns or squeaks. could this be the alternator that whining?? help please. this is on my 2002 sunfire 2.2 vin 4 engine

Wrong forum for this, one of the moderators will be along to move it to the correct section.
That said, with the engine running and transmission in park, turn the wheel back and forth. If the whining gets louder when you turn the wheel your pump is very likely the culprit.
