im new here so ill first say hi.

here is my delema.
i have a 2000 boneville SE?

looking to install a kenwood single din headunit.
what do i need to do this as far a a succesfull install?
and how do i know if i have a factory amp somewhere?
is the wire harness from best buy good enough even though i have that weird ribon conector plug and lug style deck?

if i didnt leave enough detail please tell me where im falling short.
please help.

Do you have Bose and/or Onstar? Metra and PAC sells a harness for either option. you will also need a dash kit which BB should stock. If you have audio controls they you will need a Metra or a PAC SWIC harness. I got metra harness/SWIC/Dashkit for my double din setup. If you have a Bose or a Monsoon sterio then you have a factory Amp and the harness will work for either otherwise just get the standard lock-n-dock harness. there is a thread on here that has a parts list with numbers and what not... make sure you read all the way threw, cause i didnt have to do everything they said (like wire directly to the factory amp) when i did mine.
