Wish to purchase a non smoker 2003-2005 SLE for my teen daugher.

Prefer 100k or less miles.

New to the forum so hope this is the proper place for this request.

I live in Fort Wayne, IN but will consider up to 100 miles or so distance.

Cash deal.

Thanks for your consideration.

I live in Fort Wayne, too. As a matter of course, I always keep an eye on the classifieds for weeks after I buy something significant, just to see what kind of deal I actually got. That being said, I bought my current Bonneville about six weeks ago, and I can tell you that there are no less than a half dozen Bonnevilles, right here in our area, waiting to be looked at and test driven, within those model years. Oh....wait....you said SLE. A couple of them are SE's, but if you expand that to go below 2003, there are quite a few post 00's here in Fort Wayne. As far as the sub-100K...good luck, that's going to be hard to come by. If you haven't used Craigs List before, allow me:

Good luck!

EDIT: Oh, and stay AWAY from Settle Auto Sales. If it's coming from there, just SKIP IT. They're not an honest dealer, and I brought FOUR cars from them over to my mechanic....one of which had OIL in the transmission fluid to eek a little more life out of the trans that was about to go. Don't even bother driving over to Settle Auto Sales. Please.

Mileage doesn't have to be the end all with these cars. They last as long as they are maintained. You honestly probably will not find a 2005 SLE unless you're super lucky. The majority of Bonnevilles for sale seem to be 03 or older.

:withstupid:

I'd look more at the condition of the car, and maintenance over the mileage.

Watch autotrader too.

Here is one in New Haven, IN:

If you open up the search to 200 miles there is a good looking black one here:

http://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-sale ... 3851&Log=0

My '05 SLE came off there, dealership had it for quite a while and I kept watching it, price dropped to a point it was worth calling on and they continued to come down with negotiating. '05 SLEs are out there if you are willing to travel a bit, mine was about 250 miles away but was worth the drive. I looked heavily online for a couple months for exclusively '05 SLEs but was super picky on color of car and interior.

How did it go? What did you find? We're all a little curious I think. :)

For the mileage and the condition, I'd say it's a fair price. Not fantastic, but what's done is done, hopefully the car should serve your daughter well. It's also the perfect time to introduce her to working on and taking care of a car, as well as get a little father-daughter bonding time.

Always good when your kids know a little something about the vehicle they drive! I agree that it is a fair price as well. Put some pics up when you get a chance too!

A fair price. It's hard to get a bargain on a low-mileage, great-condition car because most sellers who have them know what they are worth.

I think it sounds like a decent deal for the low miles. Mid February my '05 SLE with 79xxx was $9950 cash. I think I could have found one a little cheaper but it was equipped the way I wanted, and had excellent maintenance records.
