Fog Lamps

I have a 2000 SE with stock fog lamps. They don't seem to help all that much where I live, I do lots of country driving after dark and before day break. The light simply does not extend far enough down the road. I was wondering if anyone has ideas about aftermarket lamp That would be more useful shinning down the road. I prefer to see the deer before the bumper does...
would anyone have suggestions on a replacement? Also if I could disable the hi-beam fog lamp inhibit easily.....
Thanks!

I'm not completely sure if I'm correct but i think fog lights are for what they state? Mine don't project out far either but I depend on my normal driving lights to do that for me and there are plenty of upgrades on them even ones that will give you more light off to the side of the car.

I've found that the stock fog lights work very well in dense fog. If it's driving lights you want (more light in clear night conditions), I'd suggest something else. Fog lights are mounted lower to the road and have a wider beam. I've noticed that the stock fog lights illuminate more of the shoulder area of the road as well.

Right, replaced my bulbs with yellow and when its dark and a tad foggy I usually can see better with JUST the fogs on.

This thread will get moved. This is NOT a "performance and brainstorming" subject.
