I got hurt back in October of last year and haven't had the Bonnie on the road since then, hopefully getting ready to be gainfully employed again. What are some of the things I need to have her road worthy again??

I may be looking to let her go to a good home in the next year, after I get some time on the "new" job. Time for me to get a truck.....

I'd change the fuel filter, check out the air filter box for nests, make sure mice/rodents didn't get anywhere and chew through wiring, and see if it will start. Might need the battery charged.

Good to see you back! Hope your recovery went well.

Installed an FWI so,no worries about nests there and I know the battery will need charging.
What about the fuel that was in the tank,I just need to add more to get the gunk out or ???

I hope the intake gaskets aren't on the way to being shot. Don't have the $$$ to do the fix at the moment...
I'm pretty sure the plugs will need changing if I can just remember the replacement # & gap for the 3.4 pulley ...... :banghead:

As well as could be expected. Degloved the lower 1/2 of my left shin and took 50 stitches & 2 hrs to repair. Have a nasty scar and no feeling from the scar to the top og my foot

Wow.

I'd maybe throw a can of seafoam in the tank, and expect it to not run great, especially if you didn't add anything like sta-bil.

My 93 SSEi sat for about a year and a half without being started in the woods. Fixed the body damage and drove it. Never changed anything (fresh oil change when it got wrecked) and it fired right up and ran flawless. I don't think you will have any issues.

I agree. Check all the fluids, etc and keep an eye on everything. I don't for-see any issues.

Welcome back.
Was she stored inside or outside?
Might add some fesh fuel and a bottle of injector cleaner. Should run ok. Just don't push it for awhile. Let it sit and run for awhile just to get the fluids flowing and warmed up.
Give her a nice warm bath and clean behind her ears :poke:
She'll be fine.

Welcome back!
Glad to hear everything is okay. :)
FWIW, my Bonnie sat for almost 6 months 2 years ago and started right up after the battery was charged. As mentioned above, just remember to show her some love.

Unfortunately, my "Hot rods" sit more than I'd like them to, and my LeSabre sat for a winter, on a hill sideways (hello rocker rot) in a snow bank with bad oil, and gas, and well, if I'm honest, a bad everything else. All of the aforementioned start(ed) up without assistance.

Charge the battery (if necessary) and drive it. But you'll be fine.

Brake gently the first few times, and there is likely a bit of rust built up.

Mine sat for about 3 years. Parked with a rod knock. Started it with a new battery and she idled until she locked up solid. Put a new motor in, topped off with 91 octane to try and compensate for stale fuel, and pussyfooted thru 3 tanks of fuel before driving it hard. Fresh oil and coolant with the motor swap however.

You'll be fine, just check your fluids and easy on the brakes until you've put some miles on her
