project: 2002 SSEi (black)

Saw this on craigslist last week, but it took the guy until last night to respond to me. 2002 SSEi black on black with 133k. Has a few issues, the major being the tranny. 2nd gear doesn't work. The car still accelerates from first (with a little slipping), skips 2nd, and 3rd and overdrive work just fine. Other issues are a bad MAF, SWPS, heated seats, etc...
He was asking $2850. I got him down to $2000 on the phone, and then drove to Wisconsin this morning to pick it up. I was disappointed to see the body needed a little more work than he mentioned. He had only mentioned the bubbling paint under the fuel door, but I found a crack in the bumper cover, scuffs all over, and a dent on the driver fender that he forgot about. I told him I would be more comfortable with $1800, he agreed. Pulled it home. I already have a tranny in my inventory for it, so it should go pretty quick.
Pros: new tires, new brakes, new wheel bearings, new drive axles.

Just curious. What area of Wisconsin did it come from?

Also anxious to see this one revived! For 1800, sure looks like you got a pretty good deal, saying you had a tranny already in inventory! Do you have a count of how many Bonnevilles you have flipped??

Looks pretty good for the money. It should scrub up nicely.

Good find, looks like it just needs a little TLC and a bath. Can't wait to see it finished.

Man, as said, for 1800 that looks like a steal. But man those headlights were in poor shape.

An ssei without a sunroof? Don't know that I've seen that before. That explains why NADA shows it as an option now.

Shannon's car is sans-sunroof too Gordy, lol. As well as the black 00 he polished the crap out of.

Looks good, but..........................you're missing a nut.

The nut that holds the engine cover on.
As usual a good loking flip. Shouldn't have any trouble selling this one.
