It seems that every time I start my car white smoke comes up from right below where you put the oil in (exhaust manifold) It only last for a few minutes then it is done once the car is warmed up I am guessing I got a leak going on some where (valve cover or as i have been reading maybe even the LIM) anyone got a guess on what i might have going on here

any disappearing coolant? water in oil? white smoke generally means burning coolant, the LIM gasket could be compromised, and thats no good....

haven't noticed any really significant amount of coolant missing if anything it drops a inch or 2 every couple of months and I'll put a splash in to the reserve

a drop of coolant in the chamber is enough to do that, sounds like you need a New LIM gasket as well as a P&P

Does the smoke smell like oil burning off the exhaust manifold or does it smell like coolant?
