My Bonneville Isnt Starting. Turns over fine no start. pit patters trys to start then dead. I drove this car the same route idk how many times. Everything was normal i Put 40 dollars of 92octane as ussual drove it to my dads and thats where it now sits. any ideas.
i have tried holding the pedal all the way down while cranking(CLEAR FLOOD MODE), tried replacing some cracked vaccuum line that went to the fuel pressure regulator.
I have also pulled the fuel pump fuse and tried to start my car and it starts, so is it flooding out???
Im tired someone please help..

See if fuel is getting in the vacuum line that connects to the fuel pressure regulator. If so replace the FPR.
Next try starting with the MAF (mass air flow) sensor unplugged.
If neither of those two suggestions help then check for spark at each of the three front cylinders. Have you looked at any of the spark plugs to see if their wet or dry?
If you have spark at the front cylinders & the plugs aren't soaked with fuel then you need to check for fuel injector pulse. You can do this with a #194 light bulb or with a node light. Let us know what you find.

Unplugged MAF sensor and it started then when i plugged it back in while the car was running, the idle changed and it eventually died. is my MAF sensor bad??

It sure sounds like the MAF is your problem. Unfortunately they're one of the more expensive sensors. We've also had members that had problems with the off brand sensors that the local auto part stores sell. My suggestion is to unplug the sensor & drive down to the local junkyard, get a sensor & try it out in the parking lot.

$50 is a typical price for these at a junkyard, and a used one from there is often better than a new aftermarket one.

Just make sure the car you get the new one from has an original, not a replacement. An original will have DELCO or Delphi somewhere on it.
