Engine Miss at Idle.....

I already ran two quarts of Techron (Advance Auto, buy one, get one free) through it a week ago.
There were no codes stored, as I have the Advance Auto clerk put a scanner on it.
Also, I've had the "SES" light come on while going around corners, hard.
So, I started to unplug one coil at a time, starting with cylinder #2, in an attempt to isolate the problem.
As I got to cylinder #8 (front bank, closest to the dipstick) and pulled it, the engine shut off and will not restart.
Any suggestions on rectifying the miss?
On getting the car restarted?
Thanks.

Car had a blown fuse, ostensibly from removing coil pigtails.
Drove the car around today, but still couldn't get it to generate any codes.
Did I mention that the problem is exacerbated by the rain?
Anybody?

I'm not very familiar with the Northstar, but the best course of action would be to put a scan tool on it that can monitor misfires by cylinder. See if you can narrow it down that way. If not, it should be able to shut off the cylinders, one by one.

I'm curious...has anybody bought the coils individually or just in the 4-coil cassette that we're screwed into buying?
Making the owner buy 4 coils instead of just one is definitely a sneaky trick taken right out of the Japanese auto makers' playbook!

They sell the coils individually, a couple ppl have had the #5 coil replaced.

I had #5 replaced under warranty. I was told by the service manager that the whole bank of four was replaced but when I got it home and looked it was clear they had only replaced one.
