AC compressor on all the time

Post by grey3800 »

I recently had trouble with my knobs on my HVAC vent selector being tough to rotate. I blew some dry graphite lubricant in the knob assembly and it helped.

Now I notice the AC compressor is running in all selector positions, except for off. It cycles like it should.

anyone ever heard of this?

I see a few options
1. live with it
2. buy used hvac controller from ebay
3. wire in relay with a manual dashboard switch.

suggestions?

#2 is the best option.

Have you checked the relay?
