I have a 98 Bonneville SE that I need to remove the interior to locate water leaks. There is a lot of info and pictures for 2000 and up, but none specific to the "trim removal" for the 92-99 models. I have removed the seats already and am about to remove the carpet and eventually the headliner for repair. Basically looking for the pillars (abc), lower door sill trim and anything else I may not have thought of. If someone can provide information and pictures, or a link to some I would appreciate it.

It's far simpler than you think. Start by pulling the front door sill trim (just pull up), and go from there. You'll get it. Most of the interior just pops apart.

I began as you stated, but the C-clips are pulling away from the plastic. The b-pillars pull staight out. It looks like I will have to JB Weld the clips back onto the plastic trim. Note, the car has been wet inside and I think the clips have corroded some, or the plastic is brittle, which is making it difficult for them to seperate? I will try to post some pictures soon so it may be of use to someone else.

It's not uncommon to break clips and tabs. Replace with new.

When you get to the headliner make sure you take your time with the overhead handles/lights. The snap in assembly can be brittle and be a bugger to get out without breaking some of them off.

Might be some useful information in here, especially when you get around to the headliner repair.

Make sure you remove the mounting clips (Small rectangular tabs that you remove with small screwdriver...)from the grab handles first. The grab handles WILL break if you don't. I broke all three handles because I got impatient...and their hard to find!
