Was gonna say...as abysmal as the G8 V6's mileage is, you would do yourself a favor by getting a G8 GT and at least have some fun.

And as my buddy with the G8 GXP always says, "A G8 just isn't a G8 without a V8."

I was thinking the same thing? The orange I like.

I do like mine.

The V6's aren't really all that bad. They'll still light 'em up. Although the cost and MPG benefit isn't much over the GT.

What is a reasonable price for a GT with ~30K miles?

because thats what happen to pop up on the lot at work... and insurance and price tag... thats why the v6

it seems faster than the gxp. i'll be content =)

It has a distinct tranny advantage over the GXP, more available mods, and... it's orange.

Get the windows tinted and some GT taillights, it'll look very nice.

^ windows already tinted cept the rear window... i can do that on a weekend i already have the tint.

it also has cat back exhaust. real deep sound.

well brought it home. manager told me to take it overnight before making the final decision. i love the car. just gotta check out financing tomorrow!

I too would have to have the V8, but if you are happy with the v6, more power to you! It will still be an awesome ride!

well of course i want the v8 but unfortunately my pocketbook is not bottomless... so this will have to do until i can afford a g8 GXP

I've talked to a couple of G8 GT owners that claim they get 24mpg on the Interstate crusing at 80mph. Too bad you can't rent one and find out if it's true. - BC

How much more expensive is a GT? Seriously? I also realize it's also not just about purchase price, but insurance and repair costs too. Either way, a GT can only nominally be more than te 6!

I'm not knocking the 6 holer, but this car was meant to be a V8. If you think you love it in V6 mode, think about how much you'll love it with 6.0L and 8 cylinders.

Any pics yet? I've only actually laid eyes on one orange one. Well, make that two, but I think one was resprayed with more candy in it.

I like the V6, I think it's perfectly adequate. I don't go using all the 210 HP in my turbo 4. Why would I need all the 376 HP in the V8?
