1993 chevy p/u v-6 tbi, cranks but won't start. new ignition coil, fairly new dist. cap & wires, fairly good plugs. It has been about 6 months since its been driven, but started occasionally and it started fine. I took off either 5 or 6 plug wire to use on another car, and i would have to move p/u sometimes w/o plug wire but it started fine. After it set a month i tried to start it and it would crank but not start. Does anyone have any ideas, they would be appreciated. I need to bring up a code on p/u also, which slots on the obd1 are a&b, as i'm gonna use the paper clip trick. thanks!

Paperclip trick is in TechInfo. What applies to the Bonnevilles still applies to your 93 truck. If there's no CEL, then you likely don't have a code stored.

Do you hear the fuel pump priming when you turn on the key? If not, you likely have a fueling issue opposed to an ignition issue.

Just read what you posted in your other thread.... Based on the symptoms you had before, I'm pretty confident you have a fueling issue.

It would help if you keep these two threads together so that efforts aren't split between two different places.

Fuel pump is ok! Fuel is coming thru to the injectors. Would it not start if the fuel pressure was either to low or to high? Well thanks anyway, i'll find a solution sooner or later.
