Like I said I would, I finally got the weather to agree with me for a moment. it stopped snowing for a bit, but it was terribly cold. Bonnie's got good heat :) This is my newly purchased 2001 SSEi. It has 45k miles on it. Since I got it I've had the windows tinted (35%), and the exhaust upgraded to Flowmaster super 44's with the stock resonator in place. It provides a nice deep sound not twangy at all. Other than a good cleaning by yours truly, that is all that has been done so far.

Let me know what you think.

Thanks for all the feedback. I appreciate it. I'm glad I am among people who love these cars as much as I do.
To answer your question, I'm in Orland Park. Surprisingly I see many Bonnevilles crusin' around while I'm out.

That's actually one of the things I want to do, along with the rears. I'm waiting to get money to buy a spare set though, because I don't wanna take the ones off my car for too long, it is a daily driver. I'm also afraid I'll screw something up and have to buy new ones so I'll just buy spares and clear those out. That project is on my list though. I just put my CAI on this morning, love to hear that blower whine! :bwoohoo:

I found it on ebay, a kit by insys. not bad for 30 bucks, looks good and functions well. I'm happy with it and happier with the money I saved by not buying the 300 dollar kit from k&n. eventually I'll upgrade the filter but for now the supplied one is good.

Ugh, you might as well throw your stock box back in. It's sucking in hot air from the engine bay and the filters are junk. You wasted $30 on that POS. Like I said in another thread of yours, the K&N Kits are designed for Grand Prix's and don't work on these cars, so I'm not sure why you are even comparing them.

IMO, on the Bonnevilles, you have 3 options; a custom short ram with a box that's sealed from engine bay heat, a custom FWI, or the Intense FWI. I bought the Intense Stage 1 kit that included the FWI, and I don't regret it one bit. Had every part I needed including a PCM Tray that mounts the PCM securely (Not friggin zip-ties like what was included in your kit, what a joke) a 9" K&N Filter, and high quality couplers and tubing.

Yeah, I get that, but like I have said before, I am a college student making very little. The only reason I could afford this car is because I sold my previous car to a friend who paid me what it was worth. Eventually, I will probably go to a FWI because I know they are better but for now this gives me what I wanted. And for the record I don't recall posting anything about CAI vs. FWI, I did read it though.
