Why can't you siphon it? I used one of those cheap squeeze pumps from NAPA to get 20 some gallons out of our 92 1500 when it popped a head gasket. Took a while, but it worked!

Hose will go down but won't hit any gas... goes and then stops like half way down the neck... never to the bottom....

Crawl under and remove the vent line hose from by the filler neck. I think you can get a siphon hose in through that hole.

Re: Getting the gas out cant syphon it
Is there a screen or something in the main filler neck?

Something along those lines to keep gas thieves at bay.

Yes, there is an anti-siphon screen. Remove the vent line (smaller of the two attached to the tank) as mentioned above.

Re: Getting the gas out cant syphon it
Thankyou I removed the filler neck off tank worked good... Still harder that heck to get the gas out or at least get that hose down! I can at least get the tank out and get into town in my truck...

Re: Getting the gas out cant syphon it
I use the fuel pump to do it. Just remove the fuel line at the rail, run a hose from it to the other tank, jump the fuel pump relay with a paper clip, sit back and watch. A battery charger can be used if needed to keep the battery full.
