We have a 96 Deville (North Star), that over heats when we drive it on the streets. The car is fine on the high way, in fact we just drove it 125 miles with no issues. When driving it on the street it doesn't take very long for it to over heat. Where should I start?

Are you losing coolant? I hate to say it, but those engines are famous for blowing headgaskets.

It is losing coolant. There is no coolant on the dip stick, and no puddles in the drive way.
Car seems to be fine as long as it has coolant in it, but it doesn't take long for it to run out.

Sounds like headgaskets to me. A leaking HG will lose coolant into the cylinder, not into the oil. Try and take a sniff of the exhaust. Does it smell sweet?

That kind of fluid loss into the heads would be producing a lot of heavy steam/smoke from the tail pipes. But, it seems like the only choice as there is none in the oil and none on the ground.
