so I take my car into the GM dealer for it's annual service & inspection, tech finds a bunch of things to fix, I'll cover them one at a time, first is the coolant mainfold to intake manifold. I didn't even know this existed until the tech pointed it out, it's a small plate hidden under the throttle body attached to the back of the intake manifold, it was damp with coolant, tech recommended replacing gasket, also since must remove throttle body to gain access, bought that gasket too before starting job
drain some coolant -
remove throttle body -
gasket not in greatest shape, looks like leaking coolant both ways, to outside and into intake -
manifold plate removed -
cleaned up and ready to put back together -
back together, just need to install intake hose -

Where'd you find the coolant jacket gasket by itself? I couldn't ever find it anywhere but in a whole top end kit.

If anybody would have the individual gasket my bet would be the dealer. close to a hundred dollars, but they'd have it. What else came up on your annual inspection?

Not even dealers have that part. I know willwren cuts his own with a laser, and I think you can get it in engine gasket sets, like JWikoff said.

It looks like they are adding it to the UIM gasket sets now.

just want to make sure we're talking about the same thing, which is the gasket to seal this plate to the back end of the intake manifold -
I didn't take a picture of the new gasket before I installed it, and there's nothing left of the old one, it was reduced to a pile of shavings once I scraped it off a bit at a time. I think it's called the engine coolant manifold gasket - part number 25534752, it did have to be special ordered, took a few days to come in, price was $7.95 CDN
throttle body gasket also had to be special ordered - part number 24501693, price was $11.20 CDN

What problem were you having that this will fix?
