Fuel Additives - Marvel Mystery Oil

Post by Noah.Dreams »

Does anyone have experience with using fuel additives in the L67 engines (SSEi)?

I've always used Marvel Mystery Oil, however, I'm concerned about it's effects on the SC.

I have never used MMO in a fuel injected car but I use it all the time in my plane.

I use about 4 oz in the gas tanks to keep the valve guides lubricated. I know of a floatplane business nearby with 6 Beavers and since they have been adding MMO to their gas the incidence of valve guide failure has dropped by 75%.

Now, since modern car engines have absolutely no relationship with 40 year old aircraft engines, you can see that this post is useless. :-#

There's not going to be any effect on the S/C as the fuel is introduced after the S/C, in the Lower intake Manifold, about 2 inches before the Intake valve area of the head ;)
