in need of desperate help!
my 05 GXP has a grinding feeling at around 100mph
first started as i slowly accelerated passing another vehicle
around 50-60mph


CV shaft seal is what the shop i had purchased the car from said it was. hence the terrible leak dropping all over the boss' store front.
the shop topped the fluid up and shuttering/grinding feeling in the gas pedal slowed, but i still feel it.
wondeirng if anyone has had this problem yet. i'm looking for second opinions being, i think the place i bought it from are clueless. alot of things were left loose and poorly installed. i.e. tail light bulb fell off inside the tail light and they still safetied it. fog lights same thing left loose and unfuntional. i was all gung hoe if you will to get a gxp. now really regretting purchasing it fromm this dealer.
you don't see many around my area so you could immagine the excitement took over. i was a previous owner of an SSEi, should have never left that ride. not near as many troubles.




please. help me brainstorm solutions.

What kind of fluid is leaking from the vehicle?

CV joints are packed with bearing grease and would most likely be thrown out thus causing a mess on the car, not the ground.

As well, a good test for the CV joints is to make a hard turn left or right (driving slow of course). If the CV joint is indeed bad, you will hear a god aweful grinding.

Finally, please don't drive 100mph on any road. Keep that for the track.

I like to add a little power breaking when doing this. It will simulate a loaded axle at full pivot. Don't go nuts with the power breaking, it gets hard on the tranny if you get past 1/2 throttle
or if you do it for more than 10 seconds.

Huh?? Around here, doing 100 and you might just eek past a few people. 80 - 90 is norm. :D

On a serious not though, having a hard time following the O.P. It almost sounds like a hub assembly to me. But need more clarification.

took it to a shap 3rd clutch hub and spline in the transmission were worn to *shoot*.
