2000 SSEI stalls while driving longer trips on the highway.

Any ideas? It usually happens on longer trips when it has been running for a while. I have already replaced the fuel pump no help there. It will start back up but then stall again later. No codes.

Crank sensor is a good possibility.

perhaps a faulty electrical connection to the fuel pump? That was the cause of random shut offs for me. First I replaced the fuel pump but in the end it was the electrical connection that was 'hit and miss' at the connector between the fuel pump wiring harness and the two-speed control module wiring harness - right up behind the rear left wheel well.
