I have a rear speaker going bad. Is there a good after market set I could replace the factory ones with?
I wouldlike to keep the cost below a $100.00 if I could.

Crutchfield.com Sometimes they run some specials buy one set get one half off on Polk 's check out their outlet page it is full of returns you may find a more expensive set for less there. If you buy a component set "seperate woofer and tweeter "with crossovers they will include instuctions online support or through a 1-800- number /plastic plate "to fit the components" in the factory rear deck and wire adapters to clip into the factory speaker clips so no cutting is involved.Type in make model on the site and a whole list will come up with what fits.....rear deck 6 1/2 and tweeter will fit under factory grills....Front doors you can fit 5 1/2 component sets Tweeter mounting... You will need to make a spacer to fit the Tweeter on the back of the door panel mount crooovers in the doors behind the map pockets .A good weekend project....Rule of thumb the more you spend the better the sound ...Aloha

I don't think you realize that a 2000 is a completely different setup. You cannot run polk or other speakers because the are not 2 ohm they are 4 which will cut your volume in half. Also/ the stock speaker sizes are front door 6 1/2 component, rear door 5 1/4, and rear deck 6x9

Crutchfield will not support any 00+ Bonnie, HU. Now when I state "support" I mean help and not fit. Funny thing is they sell PAC components, which you need to fulfill a safe car. Also, I am good friends with a salesman there and there is a note at the bottom of this car file. you can not install or fully use any AF HU w/o modding the back wall to accommodate the RCA plugs. :angry7:

Wow I did not know the radio for the newer Bonne.were so tight in the dash Crutchfield did not want to sell me Boston Pro's 5 1/2 for the front I mounted Pro 6 1/2 in the rear deck fine --components to me for my 97 because the tweeter mount would not fit ...gee make a little spacer plate and mount on back of  door panel your done, then mount your crossovers behind your map pockets and your DONE!!At least in my doors and Dynamat really helps on the doors and removing the rear deck and placing Dynamat there will really bring speakers to life.....Yes I really love car audio...... I also mounted another set of Pro tweeters in the left and right front air vents for better front staging sound. One BostonPro 10 or JL w7 10 for low end will be next on my list through my ski access slot between the rear seat and finish my amps and capacitor mounts NEATLY.... Aloha Matt
