2nd question

Talk about modifications, or anything else associated with performance enhancements. Have a new idea for performance/reliability? Post it here. No idea is stupid! (please use Detailing and Appearance for cosmetic ideas)

What's an MX7? I see MX3, 5, and 6.

There are roller rockers available from Yella Terra, cams from Crow. A Magnaflow hi-flo cat. Chips from Hypertech and Jet. Custom tuning from SinisterPerformance/GMTuners. 160 and 180 thermostats from Hypertech and Intense. Search Rice Pipe or Intense tubing to make a CAI.

The first thing we need to know is what V8 you installed (per your intro topic) so we can do a valid hp/weight comparison between the two cars. The performance parts we use on our V6's will most likely not work on your V8.

You've got a Cadillac Northstar in a 1992 Bonneville? I'd love to see this.

If it really is a Northstar, you aren't doing much with it. I can tell you that, they don't mod. (Well, not easily, that's for sure)

All this stuff was for a Series I 3800...

The bottom line is that we need a ton more specifics on your drivetrain and PCM setup before we can tell you anything.

I'd find that impossible for a 4T60 to mate to a Northstar, not to mention even IF that happened, the Northstar would tear that transmission apart rather quickly, also not to mention PCM issues and various other obstacles. I think we'll get a better idea here what you are working with if you could please take some pictures of your engine bay and then we'll be able to determine what needs to be done.

I can tell you it's not possible your Dad put a Northstar in the car without also change the transmission, axles, and PCM (computer). That being the case, you'd likely have other issues unless he'd done it before.

Simply take a picture of your engine for us and we'll tell you what's going on under there. Or count your spark plug wires, describe your ignition coil setup (where the wires start), and any markings or words on the engine cover.
