Power Locks and alarm

Post by Marshall2469 »

I just bought a 95 bonne sse about 2 weeks ago and the power locks don't work at all i bought a key fob off eBay and programmed it when i push the lock or unlock button on it I hear a click in the door but there is no movement in the sliders.

The wierd thing is when I went out to go to work today I opened the door and my alarm started goin off (didn't know it worked) for no apparent reason so i get my key fob and try to use it to shut the alarm off..... didn't work eventually i just started the car and waited for it to go off. Is there a problem with Buick key fobs controlling Pontiac alarms (place sent me the wrong brand) or is something else the problem?

Sounds like either they need lubricated or the actuators are bad.

if you just hear a click from under the dash, it might be the door lock fuse. that's underneath the passenger side hush panel.

Of course, there's a reason the fuse blew, and it'll probably blow again, unless you find that reason and fix it.
