Do you leave the engine cover on?

Just wondering. I like to see the engine and it's components when I open the hood and I never have mine on. The 89 I always leave on because it is so small anyways.

Yeah... Peter G gave it some special treatment when he had it - it's a bit dirty in this pic though:

I keep the '93 one on, since it's just a little trim piece. The '01 cover I removed the day I bought it. I like to see the blower!

On in the winter, off in the summer. The extra heat-retaining is useful in the winter.

Took it off the day I bought it, and have since removed the rear engine bracket that holds it on, lol.

I generally leave it on. I'm planning on giving it a custom paint job.

On, though I painted it black. I dont care for the look of the engine itself.

When it's cold, I'll put it on.

I forgot how big the stock airbox is...god...half the size of the motor. I take my cover off in summer now (started this year). Took me a while to clean down the engine, but doesn't look half bad now. Helps keep the motor cool.

Mine looks much better when it is on.

Does it really make a difference to leave it off in summer?
