Post by jarvisx2000 »

I am going to go look at one sometime this weekend hopefully and I was wondering how many se's came with an l67?

None. SE's rarely came with superchargers except in 92-95 and they were very rare.

Get the VIN and you will know before you even go look. The 8th digit: K = N/A, 1 = SC

Probably a swap. Ask the seller for the VIN.

Hmm..I did look in tech info and found this, so I may be wrong.
For 1996
approximately 8000 of the SE's produced had the SLE option group, of those, only 367 came with the L67. The L67 could not be had in an SE without the SLE option--this holds true for the 1995-1997 years.

SC'd SLE's are a very real option, anyone heard of willwren?

Just another reason not to post unless you are 100% sure of the facts.

If its a 97 SE with an L67 its an SLE option equipped car, it was the only way you could get the L67 with the 1G2HX vin designation

So in 97 SLE was options and not a trim level?

Correct... 1993 - 99 SE Bonneville could be optioned up with an SLE package... 97 - 99 could be ordered with the Body kit like the SSE...

00+ had its own Vin designation

They're not going to be common, no matter how you slice it. I've see one rolling around Hamilton, the only way I could tell was the dual outlet exhaust with tips that looked like the SE style - a telltale sign that it's an L67 SE/SLE.

Is this the one in Willowdale?

Looks like a fairly 'basic' equipped SE with the L67 and SLE package. Not 'rare'. Uncommon? Yes.

Wow...FE1 and L67...now that's interestingly uncommon.

Psst Don...only 98 & 99 had the SSE body for the SLE's with the door badges. This is why 96 & 97 are the only SSE's that still came with the SSE imprint in the front bumper before they generalized the package in 98.

And as far as engine availability goes...I know I added it into wiki a while ago....only available in the noted years for those trim levels.
