To junk or not to junk!?!, 1997 Lesabre..

Post by rogers9c1 »

Hey guys I need some help if I should send my old buick to the scrap yard or not. It has a blown tranny but great engine new fuel pump\sending unit, new front struts new lower sub-frame bushings and bolts great interior too, 217kms but the car is sitting and taking up room at my aunts place along with my 96 caprice project car.
ive tried selling it for 500 OBO or parts but got nothing, I am wanting to know what are some parts I should be taking off to save my now DD 98leasabre, I am torn to have to send this car to the yard but I am running out of space and options. Please help guys. and PS if there are ANY parts you could use off this car let me know and we can work some thing out.

Where in Ontario are you? It would be a difficult decision but the amount of rust the car has will affect the decision.

In the event you do part out, how new are the struts (age, mileage) and what brand/model are they?

For what its worth I scrapped a 1992 lesabre last week at $185 a ton and it came to $346 including $8 per aluminum rim.

How's your A/C compressor? Miles on it?

That's if you decide to part, of course.

ac is a factory one with 217kms on it, my ac did work, the struts were Monroe if I am not mistaken with less then 4000kms on them before the tranny went. the car is not that rusty at all has the typical right rear fender well rot along with rusting passenger side lower fender, this car wont see the road again with me owning it I know that much. if any one wants pictures of anything just let me know.
