I dont care about chimes. Which harness can i get to power up my head unit? I'm runnin amps for everything just want clean power and key hot. ill find a healthy ground

If you get the cheap $15 harness you will have to run a power to the head unit because our radios you a low level signal (dont quote me 100% on that) to turn the radio on. If you get the expensive $80+ harness you wont have to run a power

There is a ground and constant power in the harness. The data module creates the door chime and gives you a switched accessory (red wire) that will make your deck turn on and off just like the factory unit, with retained accessory power (RAP) and all that. You can run your own power and ground, and run a wire from your accessory wire (orange) in the ignition switch to the radio, youll lose the RAP. You can recreate a RAP circuit like this

heres an example of the kit you would need, its a BHA2001R. This one is from Bestkits, but there will be an equivalent harness from any other company you choose.
