WCBF10 Fund - Attendees make your donation!

There will be the 7th annual WCBF Meet.
Every year we have rely'd on the generousity of our host to provide his time and materials, not to mention his hospitality and man cave.
I would like to propose starting a PayPal donation (PIF if you will) that Bill Wren will collect and use at his discretion towards the Meet.
Based on previous attendance of 30 people, it won't take many dollars each to contribute a sizeable chunk of change that would go towards supplies and
BUY PIZZA FOR SATURDAY NIGHT!
Do I have anyone who will second my motion?

Having helped finance a few meets in my day, I can appreciate this request and second the notion. You wouldn't believe the amount of drinks, snacks, paper towels and toilet paper one can go through at these meets. Not to mention things like topping off antifreeze, brake fluid, oil, etc.

I haven't even been there yet but I third this notion. I am bound and determine to make it there asap and I will support Bill in any way shape or form...(when I get paid that is!)...from what I have seen and read he has been very gracious and giving and deserves a break!!

Also, at the camp ground there are always food and drinks around, and I know that in previous years O'Neil and I have provided meals, same with the Rounds family. Even if people were to restock with water and juice once a day or even every other day would be much appreciated. The money is not to go to one specific family, but to help stock the camp ground and Bill's place.

OK it's a go then.
I'll begin by pledging a $50 donation and see where it's at by May. Can always contribute more later.
Bill - please post your addy for the PayPal WCBF10 Meet Fund. You don't get a choice.

Sounds like a great idea to me. I know that meets aren't cheap, and asking everyone for $10 the day of is kind of a PITA. This way it's paid in advance.

Lets add a couple first aid kits to the list. The KOA would be a good place to have 1 or 2 handy.

I would have no problem pledging some funds toward this meet. It is not a cheap endeavor to take on for anyone, hosting a meet, this would help out enormously, to make it easier on everyone.

What's the status of this effort?
I plan to donate $25.00 at minimum but need a PP account #.
I'll PM Matt thru work, he'll get that.
Well, he's on facebook alot too.

I've been bugging these guys for weeks to send us an account but they're being stubborn.
We'll just have to bring our own pocket change and stuff it into Bill's intake!

OK, I've got some momentum going on this one.
We already have about $150 pledged to date and Matt is hestitantly agreeing to manage the funds. He may be delegating some purchases to others.
There should be no discretionary items purchased using these funds.
The purpose being so no one is unfairly or unknowingly taken advantage of.
We are all naturally generous people when it comes to our Bonne Club friends and always so quick to offer the shirts off our backs ( and pants too ) for someone in need.
So if we have approximately 20 cars attending for an average stay of 4 days, we should be able to obtain $20 per car for KOA camping supplies, including Friday breakfast and Saturday dinner plus another $10 per car for Bill's cave supplies.
This does not mean that anything anyone wants besides what is mentioned on the list below is free picking. The rest will be as it always has been.....up to the honour of the individual. All adults and those who are responsible for the majority of their childrens decisions will continue to be so.
Tentative list:
Camping supplies for KOA:
- Napkins, plastic utensils, plastic cups, paper plates, - 1 lot of 100 ea - $20
- Water, juice, pop. - 6 cases - $50
- Friday morning Egg McMuffins - 40 ea - $80
- Saturday night Pizza - 10 large - $200.
Bill's Man Cave supplies. One sum to be given to Bill and used only by him.
- yes you know what I mean - $50
- and some of that too - $50
- with a little of this - $25
- misc garage supplies - $25
So $30 per car is suggested. Some will donate more.

Any excess will be shared equally by the group.
Open to feedback and further suggestions......

I do not want to post it here publicly, but if you want to donate, send me a pm and I will reply with my paypal. I will keep a running total of what has been sent and keep records of who sent what.
When I get to WCBF I will have the cash in hand.
