hey guys, i have a 97 bonny sse, 3800 series II non-supercharged, it recentley started surging and stumbling and stalling intermittantly at idle, and isnt throwing any codes, but has no problem at all starting back up. i have just done a throttlebody service, cleaned the MAF sensor and IAC valve, also removed and inspected the egr valve, new air filter and oil change and threw a bottle of injector cleaner in the fuel system and no change. i plan to check the plugs and wires tommrow. i was wondering if anyone has run into this problem before or has any ideas, which would be much appreciated, thank you.

How's your coolant level? Ever have to add any?

just because you cleaned the MAF and IAC, doesn't mean they are working correctly. If you unplug the MAF while the car is running, does the idle change?

If there is corrosion on the coil towers, they will need to be cleaned or replaced too if it is bad enough.

i have installed the plugs and wires, and the car is running beautiful, however when i was doing the tune-up i took other peoples advice on here and cleaned my battery cables, i didnt realise that my radio had a code to unlock it after a powerloss, and i dont know the code, so ive been driving the last 2 days with no radio, anyways thanks for the help
