I just wanted to get some input on shifts kit's for the 4T65E tranny. I'm still learning my Bonneville and was looking to install a shift kit. The car just had a new reman tranny installed under warranty and my thoughts were a shift kit would give it a longer life this time. I was looking at this kit from ZZ Performance:

My question is about the little disclaimer about "hard part failure". Should I be concerned about this?
Thanks in advance.

i would not recommend this kit. I bought and installed it and really didn't notice a difference. all this kit includes is plastic spacers. i would get an intense or transgo. they actually include springs like they should. i'm upgrading to an intense shift kit next time i change my filter. dont waste the money on the zzp one.

Ok. Thanks for the info. Do you have a link to the Intense kit?
How about this kit from Thrasher?

I have the Intense Kit and really like it. It's a firm, but not bang, shift. I had it installed when my transmission was rebuilt.

The ZZP kit you can do yourself with $5 in parts from Lowe's. The others are spendier, and from what I've read, may do a lot more.
I have the $5 imitation of the ZZP kit, and it made the shifts faster and a touch firmer.
