i got a 1993 ssei bright white, and i got a system so loud i can make your eyeballs vibrate in your head, i got a 7 inch alpine flip out touch screen tv with a 2000 watt alpine amp and 2 12" kickers (kickers is the name brand) all together with install by a professional is about $4000, the tv is $2500 look it up if you dont believe me, its an alpine dva-300, the amp is 500 and the kickers are 500 and i got a quote from an installer for 600, now how would a college kid with an 18 year old car with 170,000 miles on it afford that sound system you ask, well i know alot of shady people and got the tv for 200 the amp for 200 and speakers for 200 as well, and i went to my best friend since kindergarten/ my mechanic, his dad and uncle own a shop, and he installed it for 50 bc its non taxable work, he gets 50 straight in his pocket and i dont over pay some other guy, and dont say well how do you know he does good work, bc im not the first kids car he worked on, hes got a great rep in town and if something breaks he fixes it for free, and i know hes good bc how the hell else could he of installed a tv into an 18 year old car. so bam, i got a beastie system 4k system for a mere 650, now im a real business man, and if oyu dont believe me heres a video of my baby

It is a nice system and I'm sure if sounds great BUT!! It's not truly one you earned or is really yours.

If you can live with that knowledge then sometime in the future you will come to the realization that true inner happiness comes not from what you have but from what you have earned.

well im not truley sure if its stolen, but i paid $200 for a $2500 head unit, so its not like my guy said here i stole it, he first showed it to me in his car and i said i liked it so the next day he brought it in

so is anyone gonna comment on how nice it is?

Secondly, here is alpine's current top of the line 7in flip out screen and it MSRPs for $1000.

I highly doubt the one you have is truly worth $2500.

Thirdly, why brag about stolen gear in your car?

This thread is beyond unreal. When you accept such merchandise that's said to be such a "great discount", it's one of two things

A) STOLEN
B) Counterfeit (As in, not what they say it is, it might say Alpine on it and not even BE Alpine)

If it's the first, some poor person (and this could be you someday) had their equipment taken and now YOU are in possession of it. If you knew the person, would you honestly give it back and help hand in who sold it to you? If not, then you are more the worse. Second off, accepting this property was bad enough. This thread should not only be locked, but deleted, for the op's safety. This is a public forum and someone who is looking for their equipment may now find you and they won't care if you bought it because it was stolen from them.

Also, I too cannot find this said head unit, so unless you typed the model wrong...I think something is very wrong here (as in it might not even really BE an Alpine). In which case, you are in luck cause then it's probably not stolen, but just some counterfeit and you got ripped..BAD.

There is/was an IVA-D300. I can't find original MSRP, but I did find a review where someone said they got it on sale for $850.

that was my bad, i dont have the car with me, it is an iva-d300 head unit, and i bought it like a year ago, i didnt say i just got it

This really is great...I need popcorn as well. This is becoming like those other threads you see on Google with "Epic Fail" written with an arrow towards the post creator. Posting about things that may very well be stolen FTL.

w.e. im ending this conversation, i though i read that this was the place to brag about your system, but apparently this is the place where everyone just gangs up on one person and grills them for saying the wrong model of something and accusing them of being a liar, my mistake, apparently i miss-read the caption under this audio and video section

ricosuave420, this isn't your standard online car forum. We are like a family. Many of us (myself included) have had our cars broken into and systems stolen. Obviously you havent ever had that feeling of heartbreak. If you are proud to brag about your stolen system, then there is something wrong with your conscience.

I hope that if the person that this stuff was stolen from comes across this thread that they would report you to the police.
