Phoogle map is now LIVE!!!

What is Phoogle map:

Phoogle map in an integrated google may to our forum. It allows memebers to view locations of other members on the forum, events around the world, and see distances between them all. Phoogle can also display current traffic overlay for a specific area in many major US cities.

Where is Phoogle map:

You can access this new feature by clicking the linkat the top-middle of the forum. This will take you to the map page. You will then see the main map with the users list on the right side. Various map terrain layouts are available by clicking the boxes located on the top of the map. You may also be able to thin down the number of markers showing using the checkboxes located below the map. Click a users marker to see how far away they are, or search for them using the search feature on the right side. Users only display and are searchable if they choose to show themselvs. This is set to hide by default.

How do I use Phoogle:

Go to your user control panel (located upper right of the forum) and click on the profiles filed on the left. The last entry is your personal phoogle map settings. Enter in your address*, enable the show pin option, and hit submit. Then go to the map and see where you are.

*When entering in your address you may want to do city/state only for privacy reasons. COPPS members are not allowed to enter an address at all.

Just to clarify a few things on phoogle. This mod is just in beta, and support and features may be limited. An example of this is that as the list of users on it grows, they carry over to additional pages to avoid extremly slow load times (see pages in lower left below search field). Also, that makes it difficult to search for users since they are on different pages. Please have patiendce with tis application as it grows and develops into a final version.

Please refrain from using the last 2 markers available in the phoogle list for now. I belive they may have something to do with the issues of not being able to see and/or edit your location.
