Ok, so I just came into a 2002 SSEi with an aftermarket 7" DVD player in the dash. I would like to upgrade the speakers all the way around to compliment the nice A/V face. Sonic Electronix.com shows that the front doors are 6 1/2 and the rear deck's are 6x9. It doesn't say anything about the rear doors. I'm assuming they are the same, but I've learned over the years that assumption is the mother of all eff ups.

So please, if anybody knows for sure, what the sizes are that info would be awesome.

Can I fit a 6 1/2 in the rear or do I absolutely have to go with 5 1/4?

Anything is possible, if you want it to just bolt in, get the 5.25". If you want to do some extra fabbing, get the 6.5".

I would consider what you want out of your system. I demand high quality, therefore I have no rear door or deck speakers. All you need is a good pair of components in the front with the appropriate reinforsements to the door panel and a dynamat treatment to the skin.

What did you do to reinforce your door panel? I put some deadening on mine but am not totally happy with the output from the mids. I have a feeling if I deadened/reinforced the panel it may give better results.
