For those who don't know this yet Barney the purple bonneville chris owns has been in an accident. Chris was ok and so were his passengers but his car sadly did not make it through the accident ok :( He was hit by a newer model year chevy pickup which hit him right in the rear quarter panel and did some hefty damage. Check out the pic of the damage that has been done to that car. R.I.P. Barney

Oh, that SUCKS...I remember he had a real love/hate relationship going on with that car for a while. Hadn't heard from him in a long time. Glad he's OK.

Yea I'm glad he's ok too. Yea he loves that car and I think he will always even though it won't ever be driven again. I also drove his car when me and him had that Bonneville mini meet back on October 25th, 2008. He does have another car in mind that he was telling me about a few mins ago when I called him and told him about me posting this for him.

Not that I like to see these things, but I like noting that in every major Bonneville accident we've been aware of, the driver and passengers walk away from the accidents with at most minor injuries. I feel very comfortable that these large cars are among the safest vehicles you can be in, in the event of a collision. That being said, try to stay out of collisions!

I know it is sad but I am thinkful that him and the passengers were ok. They even tried to blame chris and said the wreck was his fault! Got the news from him as well that the car is totaled :( I kinda figured that in a way anyway just by looking at it.

I think a majority of the accidents of members over the years have been fairly 'tame' too. This was one of the harder ones in memory, but it certainly could be a different story if the same speeds were head-on or offset some. They definitely were lucky either way.

Yo guys just checking in. Yeah, they totalled the car, ruled it the other guy's fault, though. Only got $1600 bucks though because of the damagethat wasalready on the passenger side. Got the stereo out, though. I'm in Minnesota now becauseof a family emergency, mom just called and said the rollback was there to get it. I sure am gonna miss that car. Had it for 4 years, beat the crap out of it, sometimes literally, and it never left me stranded. I am looking for another Bonneville but I'm getting really discouraged at the asking prices of some around here. Looked at a 96 Grand Prix SE sedan with 42K original miles, car is mint for $2600 but jeeze it's ugly lol. I'll keep checked in with you guys. Have more pics of the car, will uploead them when I get home.
