Hey guy's, finally got car running somewhat like it should. Replaced TPS and car likes to do 75mph again. I've noticed a small pop in the exaust when I start engine. Nothing major but seem's like maybe a timing issue. Please chime in if anyone can help. Cant wait to have car back 100%.

Coil packs should be checked definitely. Try replacing those.

Do you have a check engine light? You can start by cleaning the throttlebody and MAF. Be sure to use a throttlebody cleaner and MAF cleaner and be sure to clean the idle control solenoid.
If you have the engine light on, go to any auto parts store and have them read the codes.

Hey all, engine got tuned about 15k ago(plugs, wires). Only CEL I have is from no cat anymore. Always run 89 or better fuel. Had new crank sensor installed due to going bad. New MAP, TPS seem to help the most when changed. Seems like it tries to load up with fuel if I start & stop alot when engine is warm. Each day I drive car, the engine seems to runs alittle better. I will try cleaning MAF nex't.

If it runs a little better everyday, it sounds like either your PCM is slowly adjusting to to things, or something is clogged? The sediment/sludge may be slowly moving. Try stepping on the gas real hard to try to blow whatever is it the system out.

Have you ever changed the O2 sensor?

Hey all, thanks for chiming in. Changed pre-cat 02 sensor but not back one. No cat anymore due to plugging up. Can replace if necessary but car ran just as bad with cat on. Only sensors left to try are knock & cam position. CEL is posting a code for problem with cat only. Please keep chiming in if you can think of anything. Thanks to all in the club, you friends provide a great service for all that love to drive Bonneville's.
